My first square that’s of my own design! Using inspiration from other projects, like how to make a circle into a square, and a few flower projects, I went with a flower in a square, with a star-like center and petals accentuated by a puff stitch.

Pattern
Knowledge & Abbreviation
You need to be able to do chains (ch-x), double crochet stitches (dc), single crochet stitches (sc), double crochet clusters (dcxtog), and slip stitches (sl st). I use American terms.
- ch-x: chain X chains
- st: stitch
- dc: double crochet
- sc: single crochet
- dcXtog: double crochet clusters, X together
- sl st: slip stitch
- ch sp: chain space
- beg: beginning
- rep: repeat
- sk: skip
Crochet the puff stitch as follows: yarn over and insert your hook into the space. Yarn over again and pull up a long loop. Repeat this four more times. Yarn over and pull through all 11 loops on your hook. Ch-1 to finish the puff stitch.
