Due to my sickness, I haven’t been able to crochet lately, but when I started again I decided to go for crocheted lace.
This rose will be a centrepiece in a small bag consisting of two squares, one for the front, one for the back, with picot chains and leaves in the corners.
The project is done in Create with Adlibris yarn, 100% Combed Cotton, mercerised, in the colour way of Denim, and a 2.5mm hook. For the silver accent I use Drops Glitter.
The intention is to line it with either a velvet or satin pouch, use ribbon for drawstrings and then a picot edge (possibly with small beads inside each picot).
The pattern is originally from Richardson’s Irish Crochet Book via Antique Pattern Library, but I use a slight variant demonstrated on LaceFromIreland’s YouTube channel.
